Can I Come To Camp Alone?

Absolutely!

Many women come to camp solo and leave with a new network of training partners, mentors, and lifelong friends. Whether you’re an extrovert looking to meet new people or someone who’s a little nervous about showing up alone, you’ll be welcomed into an encouraging, judgment-free space.

Your Home for the Weekend:

  • Stay in heated cabin with other campers
  • Bunk bed-style accommodations foster a fun, slumber party environment
  • Common areas for bonding over post-training chats
  • Linens provided – just bring your gear and personal essentials

Many past campers have said that the friendships they built in the cabins were one of the best parts of the experience! If you prefer more privacy, you can also opt for an offsite pass and book your own lodging nearby. Join us, even if you’re coming alone—you won’t leave that way!

What Should I Bring?

Gear:
Bring 2-3 gis and 2-3 sets of no-gi gear, plus clean sports bras and underwear for each session. Since there’s no laundry service, plan accordingly!

Snacks:
Camp includes five meals (Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast/lunch/dinner, and Sunday breakfast), but pack a snack if you get hungry between sessions!

Shopping:
While your meals and training are covered, we will have on-site vendors with gear and apparel, so bring some extra cash to shop!

Linens & Comfort Items:
We provide bedding and a towel for those staying in the cabins, but you’re welcome to bring extra blankets and pillows for added comfort.

Notebook & Pen:
With so much valuable instruction, you’ll want to take notes—don’t forget a notebook!

Do I need experience to attend camp?

It helps to have some Jiu Jitsu experience, but camp can also be a great place to jump start your jiu jitsu journey!

Every year we have a mix of ladies ranging from brand new jiu jitsu practitioners to black belt competitors.

Can I refund my ticket to camp?

Unfortunately tickets to camp are non-refundable.

However, if you cannot make it you are welcome to try to transfer your ticket to someone else who would like to come.

We cannot transfer tickets to any other camps.

The transfer deadline is April 1st, 2025.

We understand that life happens and injuries, pregancy, and illness can prevent your attendance. Unfortunately our expenses for camp occur months in advance of camp taking place, which is why we have this policy and have given the option of transfer.

What are the sleeping arrangements at camp?

All campers staying on campus will be staying in shared cabin lodging.

The cabins are heated and house between 15 - 20 people. These are bunk bed style lodging with shared bathroom spaces. Linens will be provided.

The space in each cabin is limited so please be mindful of your roommates when you are packing for the weekend.

Many attendees have loved the bunk bed housing and have met their camp friends there.  However, if you feel uncomfortable in shared housing we recommend purchasing an offsite pass and arranging alternative lodging.

Can I bring my family to camp?

Unfortunately, we cannot permit anyone who has not registered for camp to come and stay with us at trout lake.

However, if you would like to bring your daughter (16 years old or older) to attend camp with you she is welcome to attend.

BOTH you and your child must buy individual tickets for camp. Anyone under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult to camp.

Can I come to camp alone?

Absolutely! Camp is a great place to make friends, come alone and leave with friends that will last a lifetime!

What is the rolling/training ettiquette at camp?

You get to choose who touches your body.

This camp is about you and your jiu jitsu experience so train as much or as little as you want.

Please communicate with your training partners about any injuries or goals you have for your training.

Feel free to ask upper belts to train and please feel free to decline rolls if you're not feeling up to it/safe.

Are there laundry serviced available on site?

There are no laundry services available on site however there are laundry services located about 10 minutes drive away from camp. We recommend bringing enough gear for the 3 days.

What should I bring to camp?

Gear:
We would recommend bringing 2-3 gis and 2-3 sets of no-gi gear. Remember clean sports bras and underwear! There is no laundry service available at camp. We'd also recommend bringing apparel to lounge in, a mouth piece, any braces you might need, flip-flops, and a swimsuit for the boating portion of the camp.

Snacks:
You will have dinner served Friday, 3 meals served on Saturday, and breakfast served on Sunday. Please bring any extra snacks if you think you might want them!

Money:
Meals, training, and stay are all included in your ticket price, however we will be having a variety of vendors at camp so bring some money for shopping!

Toiletries:
Please bring any toiletries you might require. Think about: Braces, Tape, KT Tape, Ibuprofen/CBD, Tigerbalm, period products etc.

Linens:
Your towel and bedding will be provided to you at the beginning of camp, please bring any additional blankets or pillows you'd like. If you'd like, please bring a mattress topper, some girls have found that helpful.

We would also recommend bringing a notebook, there's going to be a lot of information at camp. Record and write it down!

What is the best airport to fly into?

We recommend flying into Lehigh Valley International airport which is located about 45 minutes away from camp. From there you will have to rent a car, carpool, or uber. You can find people to carpool with in our private facebook group (you will get a link in your email once you register for camp!)
